ACTIVITY CENTER
Welcome to The Kid's Break Place! Our goal is to provide
the best fun and educational programs to kids … all
under one roof!
Listed
below are activities open only to members of our activity
center. The annual membership fee is $35 (for students
enrolled in VCLC's morning preschool program) or $45 (for
non-students).
JUMPBUNCH SPORTS AND FITNESS
(Ages 2 – 6 year olds) –JumpBunch is a new
class we are adding this year, and we are so excited! JumpBunch
visited VCLC and the kids had such a great time, we asked
them to join us!
JumpBunch
introduces sports and fitness to children in a hands-on
setting. Their goal is to provide a friendly introduction
to sports while building coordination, self-esteem and encouraging
a healthy lifestyle. JumpBunch utilizes activity plans that
offer a different sport or activity with each class. There
are over 70 activity plans, which include hockey, football,
basketball, obstacle course, step aerobics and much more!

ALL THINGS ETIQUETTE FOR KIDS
All
Things Etiquette for Kids" is a program to teach children
ages 3-8 great manners in all aspects of their lives. Great
manners are important at school, at restaurants, with other
children and adults as well as at home. Our goal is to teach
your child very important (and necessary) skills that will
make you proud and comfortable taking your child out to
playdates, to dinner or visiting their friends and family!
Topics covered include:
- Basic
manners (Please, thank you, not interrupting adults, etc.)
- Meeting
and greeting children and adults
- Mealtime
etiquette and dining skills (including correct use of
knife and fork)
- Telephone
skills and emergency phone use
- Writing
thank you notes
- And
much more!
Each
session runs for 10 weeks.
Class Fee:
$60 per month for VCLC students and members
$80 per month for non-students

SOCCER
Georgia International Soccer Academy (G-ISA) is excited
to bring their highly qualified coaches to the VCLC after
school program! G-ISA will conduct a soccer enrichment program
designed to develop the whole child, promoting discipline,
self control and self confidence. G-ISA specializes in bringing
soccer to the level of the learners by allowing them to
experience the game at its fundamental level. The primary
goal of the program is to keep soccer fun while developing
a true love for the game within the heart of the child.
G-ISA: Elevating youth to a higher level of performance
both in the game of soccer and in life.
Fee is $140.00 per 14 week session beginning February
2009.

AFTERNOON
PLAYGROUPS
Every Monday through Thursday (if 5 or more children sign
up each day) from 1:00 to 3:00, your child can enjoy a structured,
fun-filled afternoon! Activities include story time, arts
& crafts, games, snacks, movies, and more! Only activity
center members may participate. Fee: Only $12.00 per day!
You must call our office and reserve a space for your child
to participate. Make checks payable to "The Kid's Break
Place."
Children
participating in an afterschool class can stay for playgroup
until 3:00pm (based on availiability) for $6.00 - 50% off
the playgroup price! Reservations required.

SPANISH FOR KIDS
In Spanish for Kids, our mission is to introduce children
and parents to the Spanish language and culture through
communicative and interactive activities. Each session is
filled with songs, stories, movement, and games -- all in
the Spanish language. A weekly vocabulary list (with pronunciation
guide) and other teaching tools are provided.

THE
KIDS DRAMA FACTORY
(Ages 3 through elementary school) -The Kids Drama Factory
offers high quality drama instruction to preschoolers through
elementary students. Classes will consist of vocal and physical
warm ups, drama games, skill and terminology practice, reader's
theater practice and musical practice. Our lead teacher,
Megan Hodge, is a professional actress and voice teacher!
Dance will be introduced by a professional choreographer!
Students will be introduced to a variety of theatrical skills
including auditioning, stage combat and stage make-up by
special guest teachers. All students receive a KDF t-shirt!
At the end of the semester, students will present a musical
production and/or reader's theater production!
VCLC is offering afternoon playgroup on Mondays, so feel
free to leave the kids at VCLC until 3:00p for $6.00 (50%
off for playgroup - based on availability)!

PRE-BALLET
AND TAP
(Ages 3-5) - This class teaches the very basics of ballet
and tap, incorporating creative movement and correct dance
terminology. This helps with the development of motor skills,
confidence, and self-esteem. It is also a great way to make
new friends!
