AFTERNOON
PLAYGROUPS
Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (if 4 or more
children sign up each day) from 1:00 to 3:00, your child
can enjoy a structured, fun-filled afternoon! Activities
include story time, arts & crafts, games, snacks, movies,
and more! Only activity center members may participate.
Fee: Only $12.00 per day! You must call our office and reserve
a space for your child to participate. Make checks payable
to "The Kid's Break Place."
Children
participating in an afterschool class can stay for playgroup
until 3:00pm (based on availability) for only $8.00 - a
$4 savings off the playgroup price! Reservations required.

SPANISH
FOR KIDS
In Spanish for Kids, our mission is to introduce children
and parents to the Spanish language and culture through
communicative and interactive activities. Each session is
filled with songs, stories, movement, and games -- all in
the Spanish language. A weekly vocabulary list (with pronunciation
guide) and other teaching tools are provided.

BALLET
AND TAP
(Ages
2 ½ - 6) - We are pleased to have The Studio Atlanta
Dance join our class lineup! The Studio Atlanta Dance offers
a high level of dance training for children in a positive,
nurturing environment. The program provides the perfect
opportunity for children to grow artistically, while gaining
a genuine love for all forms of dance. The faculty and staff
comes from prestigious careers in ballet, modern, jazz,
musical theatre, and tap.
The Studio Atlanta Dance's mission is to offer quality dance
instruction, affordability and convenience to our school.
VCLC
students will perform in the Studio Atlanta Dance big recitals
along with their studio students!

DRAMA/THEATER
OnStage Adventures is a 45-minute weekly class that will
explore the basic elements of theatre:
- Character - Props - Puppetry - Storytelling - Monologue
- Rehearsal -Performance
Children ages 3-6 will be encouraged each week to express
themselves through drama.
We will play theatre games, use props and costumes to create
characters, use improvisation to construct scenes, and most
importantly, foster your child's imagination. Throughout
the year, guest artists will join the class for special
performances in storytelling, puppetry, music, etc.

Sarah
Onsager has been a professional actress in Atlanta for 19
years. She has performed with Synchronicity Performance
Group, GA Ensemble Theatre, Actors Express, 7 Stages, the
Atlanta Shakespeare Tavern, Horizon Theatre Company, Theatrical
Outfit, and Savage Tree Arts Project. She has been a teacher
for the GA Ensemble Theatre Conservatory, Dunwoody Stage
Door Players, and The Music Class.

SOCCER
Soccer is the fastest growing sport in America and whether
you play for fun or aspire to greatness, it offers a world
of benefits that greatly enhance the development of children.
Soccer is the ultimate physical fitness sport and certainly
can be used to address the issue of childhood inactivity
and obesity that are facing today's youth.
Georgia
International Soccer Academy is excited to bring their highly
qualified coaches to VCLC! Their program, "Future Stars",
is a preschool development program that takes the fundamentals
of soccer and makes them fun! Players from 3 - 7 will learn
the basic skills of soccer in a minimally competitive but
structured environment that focuses on skill development.
This program is designed to develop the whole child, promoting
discipline, self control and self confidence.
Class Schedule: Wednesday - 12:30p to 1:00p (older 2s and
3 year olds)
Wednesday - 1:00p to 1:40p (4 year olds and up)

ART
KidzArt
is a drawing-based art education program which allows students
to produce original works of art, complimented with artistic
projects and exposure to many mediums, while enhancing creative
self-expression in all areas. With KidzArt, students will:

original representational art.

in a non-competitive environment which allows creativity
to flow easily.
- Use
high quality art materials and supplies that are used
by artists!
